It’s all art: science and sculpting and painting and photography, technology and
terraforming, acting and archaeology.
All comes from the spark of creative expression.
Let’s use writing as an example:
So, you want to write but can’t?
You don’t need an app.
Heinlein didn’t have an app. Mary Shelley didn’t have an app.
You don’t need inspiration.
Hemingway didn’t wait for inspiration. Trollope didn’t wait for inspiration.
You just need to free up that place in your mind that knows you can write. It’s time to release the blockages keeping your muse in chains.
I have a key.
You tried it “old school.” Did it work?
Maybe it’s time for a new paradigm.
With traditional talk therapy, you discuss a topic until you have catharsis or awareness. But sometimes, even a single issue can take weeks or months to resolve. Meanwhile, it’s alive and kicking.
That’s not to say there’s no satisfaction in taking time to work through your issues in this way. You can have lots of analytical and emotional expression, which feels like you’re accomplishing something.
And if you do accomplish something in traditional talk therapy, that’s wonderful.
Except… if it were working for you, you wouldn’t be reading this.

Energy therapy is different from talk therapy.
In our sessions, you won’t re-live the pain while you are “processing” it enough to let it go. It’s not about intellectualizing it until understanding brings relief.
Here are the nuts and bolts: You provide the topic. I find its energy. We work with the energy using words, imagery, and stories until there is a release.
Some people have a deep, gut-sobbing awareness of release. One client described it as “ugly-crying.”
Others have insights that change their reaction to their pain. Some are immediately aware of having let it go. Others notice it after a few days.
Everybody feels better after their sessions. They often say they feel lighter.
Unpeeling the chronological onion…
You may have to re-release things we worked through in a previous session as we progress.
This is because we accumulate emotional energy blocks in layers. Emotions are not islands. They’re an archipelago: a chain of islands… but through time.
We are not potatoes, solid all the way through. We are onions: our experiences are accumulated, layer upon layer, each looking much like the next… but never exactly alike.
Of course, the first incident, the originating emotion…
… is what we look for from the moment we start a session.
But it’s not always readily available. We work with the energy that presents itself.
Forcing the issue does not help release it. If needed, we go back to it and uncover as much as can be released, getting closer each time. You’ll know it when you feel it.
Sometimes, after enough more recent layers have been released, the originating emotion releases spontaneously. One day, you’ll notice that it’s just not there anymore. You remember it, but it’s not as if it’s happening now.
Sometimes it takes a while to recalibrate…
… because we’ve spent lifetimes bearing burdens.
Our brains are formed and shaped by our experiences. Growing new neural pathways and dropping old habits can take time. That is why I often suggest, “Just don’t think,” for a couple of days after a session.
Don’t go poking at what was released! It’s harder to change your emotional and mental habits when you do. After a few days, you will know if you feel differently about the topic.
